InterNations conducts an annual survey of expats worldwide called Expat Insider, looking at everything from why they moved abroad to how happy they are in their new home.  

Here’s what Mexican expats shared about their experiences: 

• 32% of Mexican expats moved abroad because they were sent by their employer or recruited internationally, compared to the global average of 21%.

• Over three-quarters of Mexican expats (78%) say they are satisfied with life abroad in general, which is slightly higher than the global average of 76%.

• 44% of Mexican expats are in a senior or executive management position — that’s nearly on par with the global average of 42%.

• 47% of Mexican expats say they speak the local language very well, while the global average is only 29%.
