Living in Memphis

Memphis, Tennessee is the third largest city in the Southeastern United States. It is also the twentieth largest city in the United States overall, with a population of 670,000 in 2012. Known as "The River City", it is possibly best known for the wealth of famous musicians who have lived there, most notably Elvis Presley whose Memphis home Graceland is still a major tourist attraction in the city, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Other notable residents of musical fame have included Johnny Cash, Al Greenwood, Aretha Franklin and most recently, Justin Timberlake. Living in Memphis offers more than just interesting museums and historical sites, however, the city also has a high acreage of parkland and forest for expats in Memphis to explore.
