On InterNations, I got to know another expat who told me about a great job opportunity at his company. Today we work in the same office.
Welcome to the InterNations Expat Community in the Lesser Antilles!
Welcome to your new home in the Caribbean! At InterNations, we can help make your move to your new home an enjoyable and exciting experience by putting you in touch with other expats in the area. They can help you with the questions not answered by guidebooks, such as, "where can I find a trustworthy medical practice?", "what visas, permits and other official documents do I need?", or "where is the nearest supermarket?". You will find the answers to virtually any question you might have in our forums, and if can't find the answer you're looking for, just ask!

Beautiful Islands, Exciting New Life!
The 20 island states of the Lesser Antilles are a part of the West Indies and comprise both sovereign states and protectorates of the Netherlands, the UK, France, and the US. Whichever island you make your new home, you will find a wide mix of cultures and customs to explore and interact with. The islands sit on a volcanic chain and offer great opportunities for hikers and explorers with their high peaks — the highest is on the island of Guadeloupe. The opportunities for the expat to explore the culture is endless with local cuisine based around the deep blue waters around the island, music and nightlife which is exuberant and lively, and festivals which bring the whole community together. Safety on the islands is a concern but by seeking out local knowledge, most dangerous situations can be avoided. The climate is, as expected, very hot and can be a problem for some people with health conditions. It's easy to feel isolated on these small islands so make sure you connect with our expats to avoid this.
InterNations is the largest global network for expatriates, with communities in 420 cities around the world. Meet fellow global minds in your city of residence or get to know local expatriates before you're moving or traveling abroad and never feel like a stranger. InterNations makes it easy for you to stay in touch with your expat friends, both online and offline, so you can grow your network of friends and contacts from all over the world. Whether they live in Malta or Barcelona, InterNations allows you to be close to them even if they are miles away.
