Ready to Join?

Please join us for an after-work get-together at the lovely Beyond the Pale Byward Taproom, just a block west of the ByWard Market. This "cinq à sept" in the Québécois tradition is simply a beautiful opportunity to mingle with your fellow expatriates and global minds and make new friends, while enjoying great food and refreshments. This time we’ll have a large room to ourselves with plenty of space to move around and mingle, with the music turned down low for easy conversation and no distracting TV screens. As the evening progresses, I’ll be using all the $5 fees I collect to buy sharing plates of tasty appetizers for the group, to augment your own food orders.

We’re always scouting for a variety of venues like this that don’t impose an onerous surcharge or “minimum spend” for a large group reservation. We welcome your suggestions! In the meantime, we’re truly fortunate to have found this wonderful, central, spacious, yet unusually affordable gathering place that everyone seems to love. Let’s be as kind & generous to them as they’ve been to us!

See you there, and please feel free to bring your friends!
