Radio Café is a place with over 30 years of history, inspired by the spirit of democracy. Owner, legendary Stanisław (Stash) Pruszyński, is probably the oldest restaurateur in Warsaw. The Association of Employees and Friends of the Polish Broadcasting Station of Radio Free Europe is located in Radio Cafe. As a young student, Stash escaped from Poland in 1955, and while in exile worked at "Głos America" (for the heads of the American radio station in their office in Germany; 1955–1956) and, at the same time, at the Polish Broadcasting Station of Radio Free Europe in Munich (until May 1956). He witnessed the assassination of Bobby Kennedy and his tapes were used by the FBI to draw sensational conclusions.

Enough said about Stash himself. Radio Cafe is where you can sample traditional Polish cuisine at its best and has an extensive wine and craft beer list. Come and experience the cozy interior, decorated with photos of pioneers of change creating a unique atmosphere; and if you find yourself in the company of the man himself, or any of the veterans of Radio Free Europe you will, we are sure, be fascinated by the stories they have to tell. And don’t forget to have a look at the visitors book …

We have arranged for InterNations members attending the event to receive 10% discount on all drinks throughout the evening, and you will also receive a food discount voucher valid for 1 month, allowing you to return with friends and family to enjoy a meal at your leisure.
