Need help on critical skills visa (Cape Town)

Hello everyone,
We are moving to CT very soon but still preparing our critical skills visa.
I would like to get recognized for my 'external audit' skill but I think it is very difficult if you don't have a SA degree. I got a response from the IRBA where someone told me that the first step is to have a B.Com, accounting degree… & a the certificate of the theory of accounting.
My question is : do you think that a french degree in accounting evaluated by the SAQA will be recognized as a SA degree?
I've been told that the SAICA is the only professional body to provide the confirmation of such skill.
Can someone tell me more about it please?
Many thanks in advance.
