For Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, a dream seems to come true when she meets the son of a Russian oligarch and the two decide to marry on a whim.

But once the news reaches Russia, the fairy tale seems to end badly when his parents travel to New York to have the marriage annulled. Anora won the Golden Palm at this year's 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
