Cooler weather is almost here! Until then, let's beat the heat and do a short hike in the evening. This one is easy to get to and provides gorgeous views.

We'll walk for about an hour and a half, turning around after about 45 minutes

It will start to get dark on our return, so bring a red flashlight if you have one. (Red light protects your night vision.)

Distance: approx 3 miles

Difficulty: Beginner level, with Protected content of elevation gain on the main trail, or more elevation if you take the adjacent foot trails that lead higher up and offer sweeping views.

Parking: There is easy and plentiful parking at the trailhead. Use Protected content Roadfor your GPS and meet at the trailhead at the end of the road.

Bathroom: There is no bathroom at the trailhead, so use the facilities before you arrive!

Also, there is no cell phone service at the trailhead, so if you're lost or running late, I will not see any messages.

Meet at the trailhead at 6:00pm for introductions; we'll start the hike by 6:10pm.

Bring a jacket in case some beach fog rolls in and drops temperatures quickly and significantly.

Hope you can join us!
