Writing Like in the Middle Ages
Dear art lover,
IMPORTANT: Please register only if you are really interested in this event and would like to participate (costs included). Workshop - in German language.
Before the invention of printing, books were lovingly produced by hand. In medieval scriptoria, scribes recorded their texts with pen and ink. A craft that hardly anyone still masters today. In a workshop, Dr. Julia Bangert will introduce you to this almost lost art form. Ms. Bangert is a freelance artist and has been an expert in the design of book pages for many years. The workshop will take an in-depth look at writing in Textura - a Gothic manuscript that can also be found in the Carmelite choir books. In comparison with the originals and under the guidance of Ms. Bangert, even beginners will succeed in creating the most beautiful masterpiece!
In case there are any questions feel free to contact me.
Looking forward to seeing you.
