Hiking a Trail From Den Dolder to Amersfoort - 13.4 Km

This is the 10th and last track we will hike on the Marskramerpad.
After Amersfoort the travel times from The Hague for a 15km hike will be too much and not possible with a group of 12 as many local bus services will run with small 8 person max busses.
From the forests around Den Dolder we walk through the Soester Duinen, a large drifting sand area in the province of Utrecht. The wind still has free rein and on stormy days you see the landscape change shape before your eyes. We have lunch in the village Soesterduinen halfway the walk.
After lunch we walk through the Korte Duinen which then turn into the Birkhoven forest area that continues to Amersfoort. The long beech avenues and rhododendron valley show that Birkhoven used to be an estate. The Amersfoort Zoo can be found in this forest.
To start the walk at 10 am we need to have Protected content
