Hiking a Trail From Geerkade Wilnis to Breukelen - 9.1 Km.

This is a short walk through the peat landscape of Utrecht because otherwise, we will not find public transport to travel back after 15km.

We mainly walk along ditches and over dikes along drainage canals until we reach Breukelen. We cross the Amsterdam-Rhine canal and then walk to the center where we can decide to have lunch together before going home.
It will be a 2-hour walk, and the suggested time duration for the activity includes travel time and lunch.

Many paths run along the waterfront and through polder landscape so they can be muddy after the heavy rain. Good (waterproof) walking shoes are definitely recommended.

I decided to plan this hike as a morning walk with an option to lunch together in Breukelen before returning home or other place.
