Hiking a Trail From Woubrugge to Nieuwveen

Our track 5 of the Marskramer trail will take us from Woubrugge to Noordeinde through a typical Dutch polder landscape of villages and farmland past canals and lakes.

From the Protected content , we first walk to the bridge over the Woudweteringsevaart and then walk along that canal in a northerly direction to the Brasemermeer. We pass the lake on the south side, cross the Leidsevaart and along it to the Langeraarse plassen. We cross the Aarkanaal at Papenveer and then walk largely along the Ringvaart from the Nieuwkoop polder to Nieuwveen.

After about 12 km, the only restaurant on the way is on the golf course, with lunch available until 5 o'clock.
Protected content
I suggest that everyone brings drinks and snacks for the road as needed and that we have a late lunch there before we undertake the last 4.5 km to the bus stop in the Noordeinde.
That is just over an hour's walk so that we can plan the arrival at the bus that runs once an hour well from the restaurant.

Many paths run along the waterfront and through polder landscape, so they can be muddy after rain. Good (waterproof) walking shoes are definitely recommended.

To start the walk at 10 am we need to have the Protected content to check in together.
