Marija Prymatjenko Protected content is a central figure in Ukrainian art history and one of the country's most well-known and appreciated artists. Her motif has appeared on postage stamps and a planetoid has been named after her. The stylized but at the same time playful patterns have their origins in folk embroidery and traditional crafts.
