Day Trip to Linz-Am-Rhein / Burg Ockenfels

Let's spend Easter sunday in Linz-am-Rhein, located approximately fifty kilometers south from Cologne. At the border of the Eifel, this small town is characterized by its architecture including the typical houses, several churches and historic monuments, especially the castle Burg Linz and the tower Neutor. Besides, the Ockenfels Castle, built on a hill nearby, is definitely worth a visit thanks to the beautiful view over the Rhine and can be reached by foot from the train station.

If you have no plans for Easter sunday and would like to break out of the big city, then you might be up to join this day trip to Linz-am-Rhein. We could have lunch at one of the restaurants there, and I'd make a reservation according to the expected group size.
