Lazy Monday? Join Our Last Minute Event: Piano Quartet
Let´s meet in one of the main Berlin jazz clubs, listening to a professionel jazz quartet, which I can highly recommend, if you like piano jazz. As I just saw the event and realized that I have time to go there tomorrow night, I made a reservation together with Heide. You should do the same on the homepage of the club , where you have two options: Only the reservation and paying at the entrance or buying the ticket in advance to be absolutely sure.
If you like, you can mention to sit next to me (Ulla Maria). As you are led to the place from the entrance, we can easily meet inside from 7.45 pm. Looking forward!!! ULLA
About the music:
The quartet plays music written and arranged by Agita Rando, melodically oriented, harmonically colorful contemporary jazz, with inspiration from European art music and Latvian folk songs.
There is an unmistakable ‚Nordic‘ sound in this music, whose unique, personal style is clearly rooted in jazz, influenced by Latvian folk music, baroque and classical music as well as pop. In this quartet formation, saxophone, bass and drums enter into a dialog with Agita Rando’s piano and shape a music of high recognition value. Extraordinary and exciting.
Agita Rando – Piano, Composition
Jan von Klewitz – Altosax
Charles Sammons – Bass
Ernst Bier – Drums
