Come over and hear this quartett which we listened to already two years ago - much too long as the music brings the atmosphere from staying at a Norwegian fjord. There is a table reservation on my name. So you only have to arrive and pay the ticket at the entrance ( only cash). Drinks have good prices and there are some small snacks to order. Please, be in time!

More infos about the quartet:

Karl Seglem (ts, goat horns, voice), Erlend Viken (fiddles), Hallvard Gaardlös (e-b), Kåre Opheim (dr), Ingar Hunskaar (sound)

Norway's foremost goat horn player and tenor saxophonist has an impressive drive to constantly explore the relationship between folk music and jazz - and everything around, everything outside. It is difficult to put a label on Karl Seglem. He has created his own sound universe, his own genre so to speak. And music is for him a vital and personal form of expression. Let's call it world heritage jazz, since much of the inspiration for the creation process comes from Norwegian folk music, mountains, fjords. The quartet presents music from a long series of his album releases where critically acclaimed Mytevegar, Ossicles, Nordic Balm are central. A soundscape where both mountain home, sand dunes, asphalt jungle, undulating forest and life-giving water can be heard. Overwhelmingly extroverted, beautifully energetic, poetic, - and Norwegian.
