Volunteering at a Christmas Dinner for the Homeless (as in 2023)
No one deserves to be alone at Christmas – especially at a time of so much war, unhappiness and turbulence in the world. Sant'Egidio in London has many homeless, lonely and older friends. Every year, they gather together to share a special Christmas meal with each other.
The Community of Sant'Egidio began in Protected content Rome.
Sant'Egidio in London is part of the big family of the Community of Sant'Egidio and is made up of anyone who would like to make a difference in someone else's life in London. The Community in London has built friendship with the homeless and the elderly in the areas of Kensington, Victoria, Mayfair, Ladbroke Grove, Gloucester road and beyond.
To volunteer during the Christmas meal on Tuesday 24th December, we will need to attend one face-to-face training session, even if we participated last year . This is because they will need to allocate you a specific role for the day.
There are options for volunteering before the 24th
Preparation activities:

Decorating & Prepping 23rd December 12pm-6pm
Please note that their Christmas meal and all Christmas events and training below will take place in the area of Earl’s Court.
