SAFRI DUO is for classically trained percussionists: Uffe SAvery and Morten FRIis. SA-FRI is an abbreviation of their surnames, but it should also evoke associations with the exotic saffron and the adventurous safari.

Safri Duo is probably the only band in the world that has equal success and recognition in both the classical and EDM scenes. They have performed more than 1,000 concerts in concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House, as well as another 1,000 concerts and television shows in the field of electronic dance music. On the EDM scene, they have been recognized with awards such as the Echo Award and the MTV Award. The common thread in both genres was the extremely skilled, expressive and energetic Siamese twin-like synchronized playing.
