Groundbreaking visual artist ORLAN brings her iconoclastic vision to Protected content of NYU for a month-long exhibition of her recent series "Je t'autorise à être moi, je m'autorise à être toi" (English translation: I authorize you to me be, I authorize myself to be you). In what she calls a self-hybridization, ORLAN pays tribute to women throughout history that have defended causes that ORLAN has supported in her life and work. The exhibition will be accompanied by a conversation with ORLAN around the English translation of her biography Strip-tease: tout sur ma vie, tout sur mon art.
