Contemporary Classical Music Concert
Join me on Saturday afternoon for a special concert with Voices of Change with a theme of nighttime. The concert is downtown near the Farmers Market with free parking in the parking garage of the church! Several musicians are from the DSO!
From their website:
Voices of Change performs, celebrates and encourages new chamber music in North Texas. We are the Southwest’s premiere professional chamber music ensemble dedicated to the performance of the music of our time. Now in its 50th year, Voices of Change fills a unique niche in the music world by performing small ensemble works by 20th and 21st century composers. Our mission is to promote the works of contemporary composers through performance, commissioning, recording, and education.

Program to include Jocelyn Morlock’s Vespertine for Flute & Harp, the world premiere of Artistic Director Jonathan Cziner’s Lunaris for Violin & Piano (commissioned for Artistic Director Emerita Maria Schleuning), and a “constellation” of short nocturnal pieces culminating with Debussy’s Clair de Lune.
