Flamenco & Hip-Hop @Festival of Cultures Stuttgart
Summer is time for Openair - Concerts in Stuttgart! Every year the Stuttgart Festival of Cultures brings together music bands from all over the world. All concerts take place at the Marktplatz in Stuttgart city center and are for free. There is also food and handicrafts from all continents.
The Spanish band KETEKALLES, is the international sensation, a flamenco fusion band from Barcelona, an explosion of rithms!
About “KETEKALLES”:
Female Catalan Rumba, Flamenco & Hip-Hop
The four musicians - two Catalan, one Chilean and one Argentinian - have been successfully shaking up Barcelona's music scene for four years and are consciously reminiscent of the early mestizo movement.
International success did not fail to materialize. Ketekalles mix, combine and playfully cross musical boundaries, using the diverse elements of Catalan rumba with funk, flamenco, hip-hop, soul, pop and even trap.
Their energetic mix makes the band unique and exciting. Ketekalles' songs deal with topics such as migration and machismo, childhood, capitalism and its effects, especially on the lives of women in today's society. The band is all about opening up alternative perspectives and talking about their roots and experiences.
