Anora is a Protected content sex comedy drama film written, directed, and edited by Sean Baker. It follows the beleaguered marriage between Brooklyn exotic dancer Anora (Mikey Madison) and Vanya Zakharov (Mark Eydelshteyn), son of a Russian oligarch.
Anora premiered on May 21, Protected content , at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme d'Or. It was released theatrically on October 18, Protected content , by Neon. The film received critical acclaim and has grossed $24 million worldwide against its $6 million budget, becoming Baker's highest-grossing film.
The movie is shown in English with Italian subtitles.
