World Press Photo Exhibition
Founded in Protected content based in Amsterdam, the World Press Photo Foundation stands out as one of the largest independent and non-profit organizations committed to protecting freedom of information, investigation and expression, promoting quality photojournalism worldwide. In addition to offering a broad portfolio of communication, education and research activities, the World Press Photo Foundation boasts the most prestigious photojournalism competition in the world with the annual participation of over 6,000 photojournalists, from the major global editorial publications such as Reuters, AP, The New York Times, Le Monde, El Paìs to name just a few.
The exhibition presents the results of the 67th annual competition organized by the World Press Photo Foundation, a point of reference for global photojournalism since Protected content . The competition recognizes professional photographers from all over the world who in the previous year have created the best shots, capable of providing an authentic, accurate and engaging cross-section of our time. The 24 winners, six honorable mentions and two special mentions of the jury were selected thanks to the work of an independent jury from 61,062 applications by 3,851 photographers from Protected content .
The exhibition is organized in Turin for the eighth consecutive year by CIME, an organization that promotes the development of territories through cultural projects and events.
