Bird Watching,Axios Delta,Meze&Tsipouro@the Mussel Farmer'sHuts!

We will start with a small bus of twenty people from Thessaloniki in the direction of Kalochori Lagoon. There, we will go birdwatching on the "Red Road", hoping that flamingos, brown-headed gulls, silver pelicans and lapwings will be faithful to our appointment. We will walk on the coastal embankment that separates the sea and the lagoon for about Protected content .

From there we will leave for a guided tour of the Wildlife Care Center located at the mouth of the French River to see the amazing work done by the tireless volunteers of Action for Wildlife and to hear many interesting things about the animals being transported here from all over Northern Greece.

When we get to the mussel farmers' huts, half of us will drink our Greek in the hut of Stavros, who is a fisherman and mussel farmer, and the other half will board his boat for a ride in Thermaikos. Stavros will tell us everything about mussel farming in Thermaikos Gulf, where 80% of Greece's mussels are produced!

After... changing shifts, we will sit around a table on the upper floor of a hut with a stunning view towards Thessaloniki to enjoy our tsipouro and mezes.
