Port Tour and Tasting

Come join us for a port experience unlike any other! Whereas most of the port houses in Gaia have special areas just for tourists, and don't open up their working areas, Niepoort invites us into their fully-functional port "Temple." The cobwebs are intentional. The casks are full of port. The smell is genuine. These visits are by appointment only, and normally are open to just 24 people per day to keep the experience as authentic as possible. We'll learn all about Niepoort and port making, explore the facility including the tiny lab where the family still creates and tests blends, and end the afternoon at the wine shop, where we'll try two of Niepoort's delicious port wines, along with snacks.
