Hiking Around Oingt in South Beaujolais
Hi All,
After a few days of cold weather, the sun should be back next week.
Right time to head to South of Beaujolais for a day out.
Join us for a hike in "Pays des Pierres Dorées (golden stones)" (17km, 600m positive elevation, around 6 hours walk) and enjoy good company.
We will hike around the beautiful medieval village Oingt going up and down the hills through forests and vineyards discovering great sceneries (Monts d'Or, Monts du Lyonnais, the Alps, the Saône river valley...).
After hiking we will take time to visit Oingt and go for a Beaujolais wine tasting or just a drink.
Note it is NOT an easy hike.
Sign up only if you can walk at a good steady pace not to slow down the group.
What you need to bring :
- good hiking shoes
- warm clothes
- a picnic and water
- cash for the ride
and as usual your good mood
Gathering at 8.15 and departure at 8.30.
We will organize car sharing at our meeting place (Place Jean Jaures).
If you have a car, please confirm how many passengers you can take with you (in comments below).
Thanks and see you there.
