Day/Weekend Trip to Le Puy-En-Velay
Anyone fancies visiting the mystical town of Le Puy-en-Velay? Renowned for its volcanic skyline, with holy sites built on top of volcanic chimneys, and famous also as the starting point of the pilgrimage trail to Santiago de Compostela, the town offers plenty of natural and architectural wonders, as well as a very colorful festival of lights at night.
Plan then is to have a sightseeing/hiking tour of the town during the day, then watch the light shows after 10pm (you may read more about the lumiere shows at

If you're coming by car, it's a feasible day trip, otherwise an overnight stay is necessary. I'll personally return to Lyon on Sunday at noon.
