Hi everyone,

No need to go far to enjoy green areas just a stone's throw away from Lyon city center.

I propose you to go for a 17km-half urban/half country-hike starting from Lyon 5, passing through parks and bushes, discovering hidden places such as a Buddhist temple, Roman Aqueducts of Gier (built in the 1st century), a tiny vineyard, the Chappe Telegraph Tower (one of the first telecommunications system invented in the 18th century) open for visits (2€) and lots of other nice viewpoints.

Please note it is NOT an easy walk as it is quite long, continuously going up and down Protected content positive and negative elevation) with lots of stairs and potentially sunny/hot on that day.
Sign up only if you are sure you can walk at a steady pace (4km/h) for at least 6 hours without slowing down the group.

Don't forget to take comfortable hiking shoes, water (at least 1.5L), a picnic (for lunch but also for the evening), a cap/hat, suncream, a jacket/pullover and some cash.

We will end up the day in Domaine Saint Joseph Park to attend a jazz concert from 17.00 onwards.
As the hike doesn't start and finish in the same place, I recommend you not to come by car but to use public transportation (should you still want to take your car please send me a message in private so I let you know where to park).

If you are keen on participating in the hike and in the concert please sign up for both events separetely.
And in the end if you cannot join please cancel your attendance online.

See you.
