Mohamed Fariji was born in Protected content Casablanca, Morocco.
His work, at the crossroads of art and civic action, is driven by a strong conviction: the artist must be a key player in social change. Through participatory projects, site-specific works, and collaborative performances, Mohamed Fariji seeks to engage local communities in creative processes that reinvent their relationship with their environment. His approaches, often long-term, question the role of individuals in urban dynamics and invite critical reflection on the management of public spaces by institutions.
In Protected content , Mohamed Fariji founded L’Atelier de l’Observatoire, a space near Casablanca designed as a platform for contemporary creation and civic mobilization. This unique laboratory is both an artistic production space and a place for exchange to imagine alternative solutions to ecological and societal challenges.
The artist lives and works in Casablanca, Morocco.
