Fatna Gbouri Paints
Art exhibition in the Garden of Villa des arts ( Exhibition by Art First)
Fatna Gbouri, born in Protected content Tnine Gharbia (Safi province), she began painting in Protected content the age of 58. She escaped into painting for 30 years to offer us a spectacular collection, representing her vision of Morocco and traditional Moroccan popular culture. Fatna Gbouri, like Chaïbia Talal, is one of the female pioneers of Moroccan painting. It also has the merit of engraving in the minds of a culture submerged by modern globalist culture.
This exhibition highlights the period stretching from Protected content Protected content which Fatna Gbouri became aware of her talent and became part of the singular art movement, a movement sometimes referred to as Post-Brut art. .
Singular art is the art of autodidacts who, like Fatna Gbouri, do not respect the classic codes of painting but those of intuition and spontaneity. By rejecting academic methods and embracing the natural stroke of the brush. Fatna Gbouri, like her counterparts, is a product of the popular environment. She draws your contemplative gaze into a traditional universe detached from the places, leaving room only for the scenes she has carefully chosen, including rural scenes of weddings, births, celebrations and much more, which she was able to observe and live in your daily life.
The artist takes care to surprise with a choice of eclectic and lively colors without distorting the beauty of the immortalized moments.
