Te Piringa - Cascade Kauri in the Waitakeres is a nice return loop in a beautiful and peaceful native forest.

Hike takes about 4.5 hours on easy ground (wide boardwalks and gravel trails - plenty of up and down steps though).

Plan:
Protected content meet at Falls Road carpark, off Te Henga Road
- 11.10 am: start the hike.
- approx. 1.30/2 pm: picnic lunch at the Waitakere Dam.
- 3.30/4 pm: back at carpark

Don't forget to bring snacks / picnic lunch, plenty of water, hat, sunblock and rain jacket.

Carpooling: I have three spots in my car if anyone needs a lift from the city (I will leave from Mount Eden Woolworth by Dominion Road, around 10ish am).
