Nature Walk at Kongenshus Mindeparken

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all enjoying the summer!

Let's go out on an 8.5 km walk to enjoy the beautiful nature in the large heather area of Kongenshus.

Here is where the action of the Protected content "Bastarden" (The Promised Land) starring Mads Mikkelsen took place. In the mid Protected content , Captain von Kahlen took up the fight against the barren, Jutland heath to cultivate it into nutrient-rich farmland that we have today.

The walk will take us from Kongenshus Kro, to the Nature center, past Protected content stones set up for the pioneer farmers and a Lookout tower with Protected content views of the area. We will then go back to Kongenshus Kro.

We will have a picnic at the Lookout tower, please pack some food and snacks to share with everyone, or just for yourself, it's up to you :)

Wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately to the weather.

If the forecast will predict a full day of rain, I will reschedule the event.

Please note that the starting point, Kongenshus Kro, is about 1 hour and 15 min away from Aarhus. Let me know if you need a ride.
The start and end times of the event are NOT from Aarhus, but from Kongenshus Mindeparken.
