LAKE ABANT - A White Paradise

We will be walking around a nature beauty called Lake Abant if you are ready to enjoy the winter landscape in the silence of falling snow flakes...Called as the sea of forests in the ancient times, Abant’s magnificent landscape is as beautiful as a postcard picture of a lake among thick woods where light plays with colors and there is a secure feeling of intact purity. You can walk or make a turn around the lake either riding on a horse or in a horse carriage.

I have looked at professional tourism agencies from Izmir hoping that they could book the hotel, book the minivan, give us a driver and a professional your guide. But they were not keen on making a tour to Abant for only a day or two. They said the road is too long and the time is too short. So I had to come up with a plan of my own. I suggest that we leave Friday morning. We can drive up to İznik lake (4 hours) and spend a night there. I found a very cozy place. Instagram account here: Protected content
Then we can drive for another 3 hours on Saturday morning and meet the Istanbul group at lake Abant. Spend the night with that group in Bolu Hilton. (Gül is going to get us a special price for that night).
Then come Sunday morning we can get on the road again. We can drive down to Kütahya. If you wish, we can spend the night at a spa hotel there. Reach back to Izmir Monday noon.
