Intro to the AmaZulu Nation, Culture & History
JFK Mulder is a renowned polyglot for 3 decades, an isiZulu lecturer as well as recently had the pleasure of translating for the Zulu king.
John is going to share his insights as an intro to the History, Language and Culture of the Great Amazulu Nation, and touch on the history of the Anglo Zulu wars, important figures that shaped our South African history like the famous Kings like Shaka Zulu known for his "tenderness" including songs from Johnny Clegg & Savuka.
The 12 million strong Zulu nation is one of the largest vernacular in Southern Africa:
Zulu is part of the Nguni languages, a lingua franca.
isiZulu and isiXhosa, these two languages share 4/5 of the language. Other languages understanding Zulu are siSwati and isiNdebele/isiKethu. Smaller Nguni languages include isiNdebele of Bulawayo - Zimbabwe; and the Ngoni language of Malawi.
