Free Evening at the National Gallery!
Did you know, most of Ottawa’s big national museums are open on Thursday evenings, and admission is free after 17:00? The National Gallery is my favorite, with its extraordinary architecture and atmosphere and its world-class, ever-changing collection of Canadian and international art. Let’s explore it together!
Allow time for the coat check if you plan to use it (it gets busy at this hour).
Starting at 17:00, look for our InterNations white & blue name badges; we’ll gather in the big glass-walled Great Hall at the top of the long ramp, and we’ll get a consensus on what we’d like to see first. (Feel free to share your preference beforehand in the comments below!)
At 17:15 we’ll set off into the exhibit halls. For any latecomers I’ll post a location-tracking link in the comments below, but I can’t guarantee we’ll have a good signal for that. If you reach me by text I’ll let you know where we are, and you can find us using the floor plans at Protected content .
The Gallery has a wealth of other good info at Protected content .
See you Thursday, and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
Eric
