Dear Members,

(Please contact Jose for more information regarding to this event)

We will celebrate the culture of the Amazon to preserve the standing forest, the future of the people and the health of the planet.

Fafá de Belém will be the main attraction, in a show that will feature the participation of the guitar master Manoel Cordeiro.

Djuena Tikuna, Aíla, Mestra Bigica, Mestre Damasceno, Aturiá, Naieme, Noites do Norte and Mestre Solano complete the musical selection, bringing other rhythms from the North such as carimbó and brega, in addition to indigenous songs.

The ancestral knowledge and cultural wealth of the people who inhabit the Amazon will also be present in workshops, films, crafts, gastronomy and activities for children.

Two new exhibitions will be inaugurated: “Jair Gabriel – Imagens da Intuição”, a solo exhibition by the artist from Rondônia who worked as a rubber tapper and discovered painting at the age of 45; and “Cobra canoa by Paulo Desana and Larissa Ye’pa”, from São Gabriel da Cachoeira (AM), who present their creations inspired by the Origin of Humanity, according to its different indigenous peoples.

There will be two days of programming for all ages, held with the support of the Vale Cultural Institute, a strategic sponsor of the Pontal Museum through the Federal Law of Cultural Incentive.

All of the Museum’s programming is free. Subject to capacity.
