Arriving Slowly + Sharing the National Collection
Arriving Slowly delves into a journey of connecting with art on a deeper, emotional level and explores aspirations towards the sublime in Abstraction. Viewers are invited to take their time, immersing themselves in the works to uncover the profound possibilities and meanings that unfold through slow, deliberate observation.
Arriving Slowly is featuring contemporary abstract works by 20 artists, including Yuriyal Eric Bridgeman, Consuelo Cavaniglia, D Harding, Lindy Lee, Hilarie Mais, Jonny Niesche, Rosslynd Piggott, Sandra Selig, and more.
The exhibition has been programmed to launch with the loan of works by Mark Rothko ( Protected content ), Agnes Martin ( Protected content ) and Gwyn Hanssen-Pigott ( Protected content ) offered through the National Gallery of Australia’s Sharing the National Collection / Art Across Australia program.
