Snowshoe Hike to Grand Mont Rond, Jura

You don't ski or snowboard but want to experience the magical winter wonderland of the mountains? No problem! Join us for a snowshoe hike in the Jura to Grand Mont Rond. No previous experience is required, but a general level of fitness to walk 5.4km in the snow with 370m elevation gain. We will take the cable car up and then it is a moderate walk that will take us about 3 hours to complete depending on how many stops we make to enjoy the magnificent views on the Alps and the Mont Blanc. The gear can be rented in Col de La Faucille Station.

We can pick up up to 3 persons from the 60/61 bus stop Cessy Centre at 9:47am. From there it is a short 30 min drive. If more people sign up, we will need more drivers. Please confirm attendance and whether you need a ride in private message or in the comments.

The activity will depend on weather conditions. I am not a professional guide and participation is of course at your own risk. Please come dressed with warm waterproof shoes, layers (preferably no cotton), gloves, hat and bring sunglasses, snacks, water/hot tea.
