Africa Day: Stories, Market, Food & Music (Local Event)

Hello travellers,
An Africa Day event will be hosted in Antwerp this spring! Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the founding of the Organization for African Unity (now called the African Union) on 25 May Protected content . It is an opportunity to celebrate African diversity, highlight the rich cultural history and the potential of the African continent, reverse entrenched stereotypes, and inspire the African diaspora to think about the future of the continent.
This Africa Day event will have Ghana as the host country and be a mix of a conference and a festival. There will be fascinating conversations, book sessions, a market, good food, and a lively atmosphere with live music. A fascinating mash-up of ideas and creative vibes!

You can attend the event in several ways:
- African market with (food) stalls from 12:00 till 17:00 (free entry)
- Africa Day Talks from 12:00 till 19:00 (entry fee)
- Evening concert by Nnelg and Prince K Appiah at 20:00 (entry fee)
