Easter Hike With A Picnic
Technically easy (T2) spring hike with cozy eastern picnic, we will play the traditional Austrian easter game “Eierpecken” egg tapping or egg fight.
(The aim is to break the opponent`s egg with one’s own.)
Would be nice if you could bring some typical Easter food or any of your favorite food what we can share. Something to sit on and most importantly do not forget your easter egg!
Meeting in Medling between Ströck and ÖBB Centrum at 8:50 or on the train if you prefer to get on the train already in the Hauptbahnhof (leaves 8:58). We will take the RJ71 arriving to Semmering railway station at 10:13. You can join us also here.
Classical Semmering hike to Sonnwendstein and then continue to Erzkogel and have the picknick on the Hochalmweg. Down way direction Hirschenkogel and back to the Railway station.
Length: 14km
Elevation: 700m up and down
The hike is about 5-5:30 hours, but we will have a longer break to enjoy the picknick. I expect that we will be back about half past 6 back to Vienna.
