“Interbeing” at Social Café: Engaging Talks on Trending Topics

Greetings friends,
Welcome to my event where we’ll engage in meaningful discussions on a variety of topics from different areas of life. Please note that video cameras must remain ON all the time.
For today’s session, I’d like to start with this quote:
“Reactive abuse happens when someone pushes you to the point where you act out of character, and then they shame you for your reaction. If you hold a match to a candle, eventually, it will catch fire.”
Take a moment to reflect on it before we meet. What does this quote mean to you? Do you agree with it? Why or why not? Maybe you’ve had personal experiences that resonate with this idea. If so, do you still feel connected to those experiences, and if so, how? How would you describe your personal reaction to abusive behavior? How did you feel when faced with it – angry, numb, or something else? Do you believe this quote will impact how you respond in the future if someone mistreats you while attempting to shift the blame onto you?
Remember, this event is meant to encourage active participation. If you're shy, or simply prefer not to share, you may find other events on this page that are more suited to your preferences:
