Summer Walk Tour and Meetup
Welcome for a walk tour from Hirvensalo island to mainland Turku! We will take a path from Hirvensalo St. Henry’s Ecumenical Art Chapel (Taidekappeli, Seiskarinkatu Protected content Henrikinkirkko (Peltolantie 2). Walking distance is 7,5 km.
The walk tour begins at noon 1 August with a short visit in the Art chapel. We then start the walk through Hirvensalo meadows and across Hirvensalo bridge to the mainland. We will follow a path recently designed as a new pilgrimage path between Turku Cathedral and Art Chapel, but only do half of its length this time. From Henrikinkirkko we will take a local bus to Turku cathedral. Anyone not wishing to walk is welcome to join us at Protected content for drinks and food at 3 PM !
More information will follow in due time. In the event of a rainy day we will postpone the tour to a later date.
