Let us enjoy a free concert inside the beautiful Lord Mayor's City Council's heritage-listed, built in Brisbane, between Protected content 1930. A fine example of neo-classical architecture, with its sweeping marbles, vaulted ceilings, chandeliers and mosaic-tiled floor.

The concert is held inside the Main Auditorium, the larger space in the building, which circular design is based on the Pantheon of Rome.

The stage has a superb organ, originally built by in Protected content Father Henry Willis, the greatest British organ builder of the late nineteenth century. It has more than Protected content , the longest one reaches 9.75 metres

The music today is performed by talented classical voice students from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, this concert showcases opera, operetta and music theatre repertoire.

You will hear well-loved opera classics by Mozart, Puccini, Bizet, Rossini, Delibes and Monteverdi and light-hearted operetta and Gilbert & Sullivan including The Laughing Song and Champagne Trio from Die Fledermaus along with Poor Wand’ring One and the Pirate King. Music Theatre treats include selections from Anything Goes, Carousel, Kismet, My Fair Lady and The Student Prince.

This is a concert to delight your senses and send you out humming for the rest of the afternoon.
