Bangkok Art Biennale: ART LOOP
Have you been to ONE BANGKOK yet? Come and explore this incredible new ‘Heart of the City’ designed to have art and culture at every corner. It is currently also one of the venue hubs for the Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB) - a biennial art festival set in the capital of Thailand.
One Bangkok has developed a Public Art Collection of sculpture, painting, digital art, and urban furniture, which is woven into the fabric of the cityscape. The Art Loop is a walking trail of 23 fascinating pieces by both Thai and international artists including Anish Kapoor, Tony Cragg and Alex Face.
BAB’s theme for this festival is NURTURA GAIA, inspired by the ancient Greek deity and earth mother in so many beliefs. Gaia hypothesis sees the earth as a living organism which sustains life. Yet with climate change, pandemics, war and the destruction of the environment there is now a critical awareness of the threat this poses to humanity.
Join us on this creative journey around each of these artworks as we explore One Bangkok together. We will take a break for some snacks if needed (just pay for what you want). We can end the walk with an opportunity for you to explore the shops or restaurants at your leisure.
