Indonesian Concert in the Musikverein

This time Vienna Spice Lovers visit a beautiful concert of the Jakarta Concert Orchestra in the Musikverein, the home of the Vienna Philharmonics!
I got tickets from my friend Juan and distribute them among interested 15 min before beginning of the concert.
Have you ever imagined a fusion of the elegance of European classical music with the dynamic and colorful sounds of the East? The answer lies in the "Symphony of Friendship," a concert celebrating the 70th anniversary of relations between Indonesia and Austria.

The concert will be performed by 50 professional musicians from the Jakarta Concert Orchestra, Indonesia's leading orchestra. A variety of original compositions and arrangements based on Indonesian folk music will be presented with captivating orchestrations. The concert is conducted by Avip Priatna, founder and music director of the JCO. Mr. Avip Priatna is a graduate of the conducting program at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In Protected content , he was awarded the Golden Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria. The Batavia Madrigal Singers, winners of the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing Protected content , along with instrumental and vocal soloists from Indonesia and Austria, will deliver a colorful and sophisticated performance.
