Open Doors at Finlandia Hall
The Finlandia Hall open its doors on Saturday, January 25th.
For adults, there will be interesting lectures and discussions exploring the building’s history and its iconic features. Guides from the Aalto Foundation will lead you inside the hall, reveal its secrets, and explain what the renovation brought with it. The entire program is completely free! (Except for the coat check services)
The new Protected content will be open, so you can also do some delicious shopping and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
In the Helsinki Hall, there will be discussions and memories about Finlandia Hall:
Lecture 1: 12:00 PM–1:00 PM / Finlandia Hall, Helsinki’s Iconic Landmark
Lecture 2: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM / I Love the Human in You
You can also join guided tours by the Aalto Foundation. Sign up one hour before the tour at the Finlandia Hall service desk. Tours depart from the service desk at:
11:00 AM
2:00 PM
4:00 PM
Each tour accommodates the first 30 registrants.
Seems like the lectures may only be in Finnish (I will then skip them).
I will therefore try to be there a bit before 13:00 in an attempt to book a place for the tour of 14.00.
With only 30 participants allowed/tour, it is going to be busy. Be on time! ;-)
