Travel Diaries 3rd Meet

We all travel for different reasons. For me it's the joy of being anonymous, an outsider, a visitor, a guest, a tourist even for a few days, hours or moments; my eyes and mind open for everything and anything--every joy, surprise or shock, finding new enchantment and thrill in every street I walk, every turn I take, every corner I stand, every encounter, every face that passes by, every situation I live through, every strange and vibrant word or expression whose unknown hidden meaning I could often barely guess or understand--but therein lie the pleasures, pains and penalties of traveling.

From previous meetings, many of us have traveled extensively.
So have I--From Arctic to Antarctic, from penguins to polar bears, from desolate landscapes, unspoilt deserts, forbidden seas to unforgiving rugged coastlines, I had the opportunity to trot around the planet many times.
And no travel comes without a story whether it is good, bad, ugly, horrifying, exciting or entertaining-- there are no small stories; only small storytellers.

As in previous meetings, let us share our stories.
We meet for dinner first. Bring what you want or order in.
And then we share stories. Send me some pics/video to support your story so I can project on my big TV.
