This is a reading of greetings to those who are no longer with us and is part of the program of the exhibition Requiem for Eva Britt by Markus Öhrn, presented at Bonniers Konsthall, in collaboration with the Italian Institute, from May 1 to June 16, Protected content .
The exhibition was born from a conversation between the artist and his grandmother. Shortly before his grandmother's death, Öhrn asked her if she had any regrets in life - if there was anything she would have done differently in hindsight. On that occasion, Eva-Britt replied that she would definitely have liked to dare more and have the courage to follow her own desires. To be, among other things, more "destructive".
The collaboration with the Azdore - a group of thirteen "transgressive" elderly women who reinterpret the traditional idea of the "azdora", or, in the Romagnolo dialect, the lady of the house - was born from Öhrn's desire to sanctify his grandmother's words. Based on their training, the group has performed several performances in which they have destroyed appliances, cars and other objects.
