ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Festival Naproti aims to raise the profile of carers, hosts and home-sharing as a natural way of supporting families of children with intellectual or combined disabilities.

HOMESHARING - SHARED CARE
Shared care or home-sharing is a modern way of supporting families of children and young adults with intellectual or combined disabilities. Regular meetings with prepared hosts (individuals or families) help caring parents recharge their batteries.
The host family or individual regularly takes the child for a pre-arranged time, a few hours a week/month, an afternoon or a weekend. Together they enjoy enriching times and gain new social contacts and skills, while the caring family can take a breather.

WHY GO?
Sometimes we don't know who lives across the street from us, let's meet and find out. The Naproti Festival provides an opportunity to meet neighbours, and cross-over residents in one place and learn about helping those who are not seen and perhaps not heard. Let's make a difference together.

WHAT'S AHEAD?
During the whole festival day, several bands will perform in the area of the disc golf course in Nučice, but there is also a rich children's and accompanying program.
