Casares Circular Hike. Vulture Restaurant

A pretty circular hike of 13.5km with 460m of climb around a spectacular valley with views out to Gibraltar and North Africa. We should see Griffin Vultures with up to a 2.8m wingspan and pass their feeding station. Mostly on wide tracks but with one section of narrow rocky path.
Height gain and length make this a steady MODERATE hike; but no very steep sections, scrambling or exposure.
We will stop for lunch at a small waterfall. Total hike time should be around 3.5 hours. Drinks afterwards.

Meeting point is the car park of Venta Garcia; after which we will take a short drive to the hike start point. 09.50 for a 10.00 departure.

PLEASE NOTE: NO ONE WEARING INAPPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR WILL BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE HIKE

Appropriate footwear is hiking boots or shoes with a proper deep tread. Trainers with flat soles have caused accidents on our hikes and therefore are no longer permitted.
